New Cast Members Announced for ‘Heathers The Musical’ Revival

Jeannette Bayardelle and Ava DeMary will join the Off-Broadway production of “Heathers The Musical” at New World Stages beginning June 24.

Bayardelle will take over the roles of Ms. Fleming and Veronica’s Mom, replacing Lisa Ann Walter. Walter is set to play her final performance on June 22 before departing the production.

DeMary, who previously appeared in “Matilda The Musical,” will step into the role of Heather McNamara starting June 24. She replaces original cast member Elizabeth Teeter, whose final performance is scheduled for June 21.

The incoming performers will join a company that includes Zan Berube as Heather Chandler, Isabella Esler as Veronica Sawyer, John Cardoza as J.D., and Chris Marsh Clark as Ram Sweeney.

The current cast also features Jackera Davis as Heather Duke, Erin Morton as Martha Dunstock, Cade Ostermeyer as Kurt Kelly, Adam Bashian as Ram’s Dad, and Jimmy Ray Bennett as Kurt’s Dad.

The production of “Heathers The Musical” is currently scheduled to run through September 6 at New World Stages. The revival began performances in 2025 and is being staged at the same Off-Broadway complex that previously housed an earlier New York production of the musical.

The current staging originated from revisions developed in London, where the show played at The Other Palace. The musical has undergone multiple revisions since its debut, with updated material incorporated into later productions in the United Kingdom and touring versions..

Andy Fickman directs the revival and reunites with members of his London creative team. Gary Lloyd serves as choreographer, with additional choreography by Stephanie Klemons.

The design team includes David Shields for set and costumes, with co-costume design by Siena Zoë. Ben Cracknell is the lighting designer, and Dan Samson handles sound design. Will Joy serves as music supervisor, and Mona Seyed-Bolorforosh is the music director.

Jason Weixelman is the production stage manager, with Elizabeth Allen as stage manager and Eszter Zador as assistant stage manager.
